- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups stuffing mix
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté celery and onion until soft.
- Mix sautéed vegetables with stuffing mix, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
- Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mixture.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth over it.
- Roast the turkey for 3 to 3.5 hours, basting occasionally.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
Notes
- You can prepare the stuffing a day in advance.
- Use a meat thermometer for precise cooking.
- Serve with cranberry sauce and green beans.
