Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour (or chickpea flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, and flour.
  3. Pulse until the mixture is coarse but well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
  5. Brush or spray the falafel with olive oil.
  6. Place the falafel in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
