Description

Dough cinnamon twists are delicious, sweet pastries made from a soft dough and coated in cinnamon sugar.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, salt, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into strips.
  7. Twist each strip and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Mix cinnamon and sugar, and sprinkle over the twists.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
