Description
Double chocolate snowball cookies are rich, fudgy treats covered in powdered sugar.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- additional powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar together.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until set.
- Let them cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for freshness.
- Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
- Adjust the cocoa powder for more or less chocolate flavor.
