Description
A traditional Dominican Thanksgiving dinner featuring classic dishes.
Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (10–12 lbs)
- 4 cups of rice
- 2 cups of beans
- 1 cup of cooking oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 cups of salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Clean the turkey and season it with salt, pepper, garlic, and oregano.
- Stuff the turkey with chopped onions and bell peppers.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for 2-3 hours, basting occasionally.
- Cook rice and beans separately according to package instructions.
- Prepare the salad with fresh vegetables.
- Serve the turkey with rice, beans, and salad.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Adjust seasoning to your preference.
- Use leftover turkey for sandwiches or soups.
