A twist on classic deviled eggs, these are encased in flaky puff pastry for a delightful appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes, then cool in ice water.
  3. Peel the eggs and cut them in half, removing the yolks.
  4. In a bowl, mix yolks, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares.
  6. Place a spoonful of the yolk mixture on each pastry square.
  7. Fold the pastry over and seal the edges.
  8. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  9. Garnish with chives before serving.
