Ingredients

  • 1 cup ube puree
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add ube puree, sugar, butter, and salt to the mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until smooth.
  4. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until elastic.
  5. Let the dough rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread softened butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  11. While baking, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for frosting.
  12. Spread frosting over warm rolls before serving.
