Ingredients

  • 5 large russet potatoes
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
  4. In a large bowl, mix heavy cream, garlic, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  5. Layer half of the potatoes in the baking dish.
  6. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  7. Sprinkle with half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
  9. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 45-60 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
