Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup additional melted butter for brushing
- 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar for coating
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and brush with melted butter.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the buttered dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
- Place each piece in a greased muffin tin.
- Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar.
Notes
- For a sweeter filling, add chocolate chips.
- Experiment with different spices in the sugar coating.
- Serve warm for best taste.
