Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with onion and garlic in a skillet.
  2. Add marinara sauce to the beef mixture and stir.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of sauce in the crockpot.
  5. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
  7. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers, ending with sauce and mozzarella on top.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Notes

  • Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for beef.
