Description
A comforting dish of chicken and dumplings made in a crockpot.
Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Add chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, carrots, celery, onion, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Shred the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cut biscuit dough into quarters and add to the mixture.
- Cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning according to taste.
- You can add peas for extra flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
