Description

Crock pot lasagna is a hearty and comforting dish made with layers of pasta, cheese, and meat sauce.


Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Mix ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of the crock pot.
  4. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  5. Add half of the ricotta mixture, half of the ground beef, and a layer of mozzarella.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and remaining mozzarella on top.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until noodles are tender.

Notes

  • Use no-boil lasagna noodles for easier layering.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
  • Let it sit for 15 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
