Description

Crescent cheese danishes are easy-to-make pastries filled with cream cheese and topped with fruit.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup fruit preserves or fresh fruit

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Top with fruit preserves or fresh fruit.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
