Description
A delightful creamy garlic Parmesan pasta dish that combines comfort and flavor, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 3 to 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Adjust the consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper, then mix in the chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Be careful not to overcook the pasta; it should be al dente.
- Do not burn the garlic, as it can turn bitter.
- Always reserve pasta water for adjusting sauce consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
