Deliciously rich cream cheese brownies with a creamy swirl.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  5. Mix in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just blended.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
  9. Top with the remaining brownie batter.
  10. Swirl with a knife to create a marble effect.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Allow to cool before slicing.

  • For a richer flavor, add chocolate chips.
