A homemade version of the classic Little Debbie Valentine Cakes, perfect for celebrating love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of vanilla frosting
- 1/4 cup of red food coloring
- 1 cup of melted chocolate
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and oil until smooth.
- Pour the batter into heart-shaped cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool completely.
- Spread a layer of vanilla frosting on top of one cake.
- Place the other cake on top and frost the top and sides.
- Melt the chocolate and pour over the frosted cake.
- Decorate with sprinkles.
Notes
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter for perfect shapes.
- Adjust the amount of red food coloring for desired color intensity.
- Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
