This is a copycat recipe for Dairy Queen ice cream cake.
Ingredients

- 1 chocolate cake mix
- 2 quarts vanilla ice cream
- 1 quart chocolate ice cream
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce
- 1 cup whipped topping
- Chocolate shavings for decoration
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions.
- Bake the cake and let it cool completely.
- Cut the cake in half horizontally to create two layers.
- Place one layer on a serving plate.
- Spread hot fudge sauce over the first layer.
- Add a layer of vanilla ice cream on top of the fudge.
- Place the second layer of cake on top of the ice cream.
- Spread chocolate ice cream over the top layer of cake.
- Cover the cake with whipped topping.
- Decorate with chocolate shavings.
- Freeze the cake for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Let the ice cream soften slightly before spreading.
- You can substitute chocolate cake with any flavor you prefer.
- Store leftovers in the freezer.
