This is a copycat recipe for Dairy Queen ice cream cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • 2 quarts vanilla ice cream
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Chocolate shavings for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions.
  2. Bake the cake and let it cool completely.
  3. Cut the cake in half horizontally to create two layers.
  4. Place one layer on a serving plate.
  5. Spread hot fudge sauce over the first layer.
  6. Add a layer of vanilla ice cream on top of the fudge.
  7. Place the second layer of cake on top of the ice cream.
  8. Spread chocolate ice cream over the top layer of cake.
  9. Cover the cake with whipped topping.
  10. Decorate with chocolate shavings.
  11. Freeze the cake for at least 2 hours before serving.
