Description

A copycat version of Cracker Barrel’s famous hashbrown casserole.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen hashbrowns (30 oz)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix in 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  4. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Top with the remaining cup of cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

  • You can add cooked bacon or ham for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • This dish can be frozen before baking; just extend the baking time if frozen.
