- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and shredded coconut.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before frosting.
Notes
- For added flavor, use coconut milk instead of regular milk.
- Top with toasted coconut for garnish.
