A classic English dessert made with meringue, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries.

- 4 large egg whites
- 250g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 600ml double cream
- 300g strawberries, hulled and halved
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 120°C (250°F).
- Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar while continuing to whisk until glossy.
- Fold in vanilla extract gently.
- Pipe or spoon meringue onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 90 minutes, then turn off oven and let meringue cool inside.
- Whip the double cream until soft peaks form.
- In a serving dish, layer meringue, cream, and strawberries.
- Serve immediately.

- Can substitute strawberries with other berries.
