Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 3 tablespoons coffee liqueur
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine coffee and coffee liqueur in a bowl.
  2. Whip egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
  3. Mix in mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  6. Dip ladyfingers into coffee mixture briefly.
  7. Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers in a dish.
  8. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  9. Repeat with remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  11. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
