Description

A classic cheeseburger recipe that combines juicy beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings in a soft bun, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef: 1 lb (450 g)
  • Cheddar cheese: 4 slices
  • Hamburger buns: 4 soft buns
  • Lettuce: 4 leaves
  • Tomato: 1 large, sliced
  • Onion: 1 small, sliced
  • Pickles: 1/2 cup, sliced
  • Ketchup: 1/4 cup
  • Mustard: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper: to taste
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the burger patties by dividing the ground beef into four equal portions and shaping them into patties.
  2. Season the patties with salt and pepper, and optionally add garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Cook the patties in a skillet or on a grill over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns cut-side down in a separate skillet or on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the cheeseburger starting with the bottom half of the bun, adding lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, and your choice of toppings.
  7. Finish by adding the top half of the bun and enjoy your classic cheeseburger!

Notes

  • Use high-quality ground beef with an 80/20 meat-to-fat ratio for the best flavor.
  • Let the cooked patties rest for a few minutes before serving to retain juices.
  • Experiment with different cheeses and toppings to customize your burger.
