Description

Classic bangers and mash is a traditional British dish featuring sausages served with creamy mashed potatoes and rich onion gravy.


Ingredients

  • 4 pork sausages
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausages in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  2. Boil the chopped potatoes in salted water until tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté the onion until golden.
  5. Add flour to the onions and stir for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring until thickened.
  7. Serve sausages over mashed potatoes and pour gravy on top.

  • You can use any type of sausage you prefer.
