Description

Delicious homemade cinnamon rolls with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  6. Roll tightly and cut into slices.
  7. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  9. Mix powdered sugar with vanilla and drizzle over rolls.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add raisins or nuts.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds.
