Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, melted butter, and egg. Mix until dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Cut into strips and tie knots.
- Place knots on a baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix icing sugar with water to make a glaze and drizzle over knots.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Best served warm.
