Description

A delightful cinnamon coffee cake topped with a crumbly streusel.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the streusel topping over the batter.
  9. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the streusel.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before serving.
