Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and oil. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until smooth.
- Let it cool slightly, then beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe strips of dough into hot oil, cutting with scissors.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and coat churros.

- Serve with chocolate sauce for dipping.
