  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups stuffing mix
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the stuffing. In a skillet, sauté onion and celery in butter until soft.
  3. Add stuffing mix, broth, parsley, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix well.
  4. Stuff the turkey with the mixture and secure the opening.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan. Rub the skin with butter and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Roast for 3 to 3.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
