- 8 oz dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
- Chopped nuts for rolling (optional)
Instructions
- Chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
- Heat the heavy cream and butter in a saucepan until it simmers.
- Pour the hot cream mixture over the chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours or until firm.
- Scoop out small portions and roll them into balls.
- Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or chopped nuts.
- Place truffles on a tray and refrigerate until ready to serve.

- Use milk chocolate for a sweeter taste.
