Instructions
- Cut sponge cake into cubes.
- Layer half of the sponge cake in a trifle bowl.
- Drizzle sherry or juice over the cake.
- Add a layer of mixed berries.
- Pour half of the custard over the berries.
- Add another layer of sponge cake.
- Repeat the process with remaining ingredients.
- Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
