- 1 pound sponge cake
- 2 cups mixed berries
- 1 cup vanilla pudding
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup sherry or fruit juice
- 1/4 cup chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Cut the sponge cake into cubes.
- Soak the cake cubes in sherry or fruit juice.
- Layer half of the soaked cake in a trifle dish.
- Add a layer of mixed berries.
- Spread half of the vanilla pudding over the berries.
- Add a layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Top with chocolate shavings.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- You can use any berries you prefer.
- For a non-alcoholic version, use fruit juice.
