Description
A sweet and crunchy Christmas toffee treat.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, water, and salt.
- Cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.
- Continue to cook until the mixture reaches a deep golden color.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Once melted, spread the chocolate evenly over the toffee.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the chocolate.
- Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- Use a candy thermometer for best results.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be made ahead of time for the holidays.
