Description
A festive sourdough bread perfect for Christmas celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g bread flour
- 350ml water
- 100g sourdough starter
- 10g salt
- 100g dried cranberries
- 50g chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Mix flour, water, and sourdough starter in a bowl.
- Add salt, cranberries, walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, and honey.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
- Let the dough rise for 4 hours, folding it every hour.
- Shape the dough and place it in a proofing basket.
- Let it proof for another 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
- Score the top of the dough and bake for 30 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- Use a kitchen scale for accurate measurement.
- Store leftover bread in a paper bag.
- Best served fresh within two days.
