  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage)
  • 3 cups bread crumbs
  • 2 cups diced vegetables (carrots, celery)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  3. In a bowl, mix butter, salt, pepper, garlic, and herbs.
  4. Rub the butter mixture under the skin of the turkey.
  5. Stuff the turkey with bread crumbs and vegetables.
  6. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  7. Cover the turkey with foil and roast for 2 hours.
  8. Remove the foil and roast for an additional hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
