Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries: 2 cups, hulled and chopped
  • Fresh raspberries: 2 cups
  • Granulated sugar: 4 cups
  • Lemon juice: 1/4 cup, freshly squeezed
  • Pectin: 1 package (1.75 oz or 49 g)
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cloves: 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruits by hulling and chopping the strawberries and rinsing the raspberries.
  2. Mash the fruits together in a large mixing bowl.
  3. In a large pot, combine the mashed fruit, lemon juice, and sugar, and bring to a boil.
  4. Add pectin, cinnamon, and cloves, stirring continuously for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch of headspace.
  6. Seal the jars and process in a boiling water bath for 5-10 minutes if desired.
  7. Allow the jars to cool completely and check the seals before storing.
