A traditional Christmas goose recipe that brings festive flavors to your table.

- 1 whole goose (10–12 lbs)
- 2 apples, quartered
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 cups of water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of thyme
- 1 tablespoon of rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Clean the goose and pat it dry.
- Season the inside of the goose with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
- Stuff the cavity with apples and onion.
- Place the goose on a roasting rack in a large roasting pan.
- Pour water into the pan.
- Roast for about 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 30 minutes to crisp the skin.
- Let the goose rest for 15 minutes before carving.

- Ensure the goose is fully thawed before cooking.
- Save the drippings for gravy.
- Pair with roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
