A rich and creamy custard pie flavored with cinnamon and vanilla, perfect for Christmas Eve.
Ingredients

- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 2 cups whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks. Gradually add a small amount of the hot mixture to temper the yolks.
- Stir the yolk mixture back into the saucepan and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
- Pour the custard into the pie crust.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until set.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Chill the pie for a few hours for better texture.
- Top with whipped cream before serving.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
