A simple and creamy chocolate pudding recipe.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 3/4 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan, mix sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and starts to boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.
- Pour into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- Top with whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.
