Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 box chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tub whipped topping
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions.
  3. Bake the cake in a 9×13 inch pan for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Use a fork to poke holes all over the cake.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until thickened.
  7. Pour the pudding over the cake, filling the holes.
  8. Spread whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  10. Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
