A rich and indulgent chocolate pecan ooey gooey butter cake that’s easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 package of cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add the eggs, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer in the pan.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still gooey.
  9. Let it cool before serving.
