A rich and indulgent chocolate pecan ooey gooey butter cake that’s easy to make.
Ingredients

- 1 package of chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 package of cream cheese (8 oz), softened
- 2 large eggs
- 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the eggs, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer in the pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still gooey.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm for a gooey texture.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Can be topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
