Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Red and gold edible decorations
- Buttercream frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour batter into cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool completely.
- Frost the cakes with buttercream frosting.
- Decorate with red and gold decorations.

- Use food coloring for more vibrant frosting.
