Description
A collection of traditional Chinese New Year snacks and goodies.
Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour – 2 cups
- Granulated sugar – 1 cup
- Coconut milk – 1 cup
- Red bean paste – 1 cup
- Sesame seeds – 1/2 cup
- Peanuts – 1/2 cup
- Food coloring – optional
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour and sugar.
- Add coconut milk and mix until smooth.
- If desired, add food coloring for variety.
- Grease a steaming tray and pour in the mixture.
- Steam for 30 minutes until set.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Cut into squares and serve with red bean paste and peanuts.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
Notes
- Can substitute coconut milk with water if preferred.
- Adjust sugar according to taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
