Description
A festive menu for Chinese New Year celebrations.
Ingredients

- 4 cups of cooked rice
- 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups of mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers)
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of ginger, minced
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of water
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes.
- Add rice and soy sauce, mix well.
- Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to the pan, stirring until thickened.
- Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be made with chicken or tofu instead of shrimp.
- Adjust the soy sauce to taste.
- Serve with traditional Chinese New Year decorations.
