Description

Traditional Chinese New Year dumplings filled with meat and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and water to form a dough.
  2. Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Combine pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Roll the dough into small circles.
  6. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
  7. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.
  8. Boil water in a pot and add dumplings.
  9. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until they float.
  10. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • You can use chicken or beef instead of pork.
  • Adjust the filling according to your taste.
  • Serve with soy sauce or vinegar for dipping.
