Description
Chinese New Year celebration treats are traditional sweets enjoyed during the holiday.
Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour – 2 cups
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Water – 1 1/2 cups
- Red bean paste – 1 cup
- Sesame seeds – 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Mix glutinous rice flour and sugar in a bowl.
- Add water gradually and stir until smooth.
- Divide the mixture into two parts.
- Mix one part with red bean paste.
- Pour the plain mixture into a greased pan.
- Add the red bean mixture on top.
- Steam for about 30 minutes.
- Let it cool and cut into pieces.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the rice flour is finely ground.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- You can add other fillings if desired.
