Description

Chinese New Year celebration treats are traditional sweets enjoyed during the holiday.


Ingredients

  • Glutinous rice flour – 2 cups
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 1/2 cups
  • Red bean paste – 1 cup
  • Sesame seeds – 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Mix glutinous rice flour and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Add water gradually and stir until smooth.
  3. Divide the mixture into two parts.
  4. Mix one part with red bean paste.
  5. Pour the plain mixture into a greased pan.
  6. Add the red bean mixture on top.
  7. Steam for about 30 minutes.
  8. Let it cool and cut into pieces.
  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the rice flour is finely ground.
  • Adjust sugar to taste.
  • You can add other fillings if desired.
