A collection of sweet treats for Chinese New Year celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g sugar
- 200ml water
- 300g glutinous rice flour
- 100g mung bean paste
- 50g sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine sugar and water in a pot, heat until dissolved.
- Add glutinous rice flour and mix well.
- Stir in mung bean paste and mix until smooth.
- Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil.
- Pour the mixture into the dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Steam for 30 minutes.
- Let cool before cutting into pieces.
Notes
- Use food coloring for different variations.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Best enjoyed fresh.
