Ingredients

  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is soft.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Add the kidney beans and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
