Description

A simple and delicious chili recipe made in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until soft.
  3. Transfer the beef mixture to the crockpot.
  4. Add kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more chili powder or peppers.
  • Can be topped with cheese or sour cream before serving.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
