- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add chicken breasts to the pan, cooking until browned on both sides.
- Pour in the tomato sauce, and add dried basil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes, until chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot with pasta or rice.
