Ingredients
- Chicken breast: 500 grams, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Teriyaki sauce: 1 cup
- Bell peppers: 1 cup, chopped
- Onion: 1 medium, cut into chunks
- Sesame seeds: 2 tablespoons, toasted
- Green onions: 2, chopped for garnish
- Skewers: 8-10
- Pineapple chunks: optional
- Zucchini slices: optional
- Honey or brown sugar: optional
- Other vegetables: optional
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes, preferably up to 2 hours.
- Prepare the skewers by soaking wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes and chop the vegetables.
- Assemble the skewers by alternating marinated chicken pieces and vegetables.
- Grill the skewers over medium-high heat for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
- Brush with additional teriyaki sauce in the last few minutes of grilling.
- Serve warm, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions, with extra teriyaki sauce on the side.
